The ChallEnge
The nature of Etopia is to be innovative, and to revolutionise how homes are built o be more sustainable. However the seed phase brand felt naive and dated – not in keeping with their characteristics of experience, determination and constant innovation. Oh So worked with Etopia to define new brand values, target customers, barriers to business and market positioning to unambiguously place Etopia as the leaders in modern sustainable building.

The Solution
The creative direction was built around 'Revolutionising Sustainable Building' – the antithesis of legacy house-builders. The graphics are clean and crisp are draw ideas from leading contemporary brands who have taken the road to refinement and minimalism. Working collaboratively we navigated the fine margin between disruption and recognition, so that the target markets were not left feeling lost. Those target customers were central to determining the information architecture for the website which was mapped and wire-framed and iterated before any high-fidelity UI work begun.

The Result
Since the launch of the new brand in August 2022, Etopia has won numerous new projects and has more than doubled its portfolio since its inception in 2018. It has also franchised with a partner in Saudi Arabia who are rolling out the panellised system from Jeddah. Etopia is recognised throughout the industry as a rare example of innovative company who have stood up against the giants of the industry and lived to tell the tale.
I have worked very closely with Ed for three years at Etopia, in which time he's managed to transform Etopia's brand and position us as the leader in our field.
