The ChallEnge
The challenge was twofold. Firstly to create a logo that represented the information centre of Samsung's flagship store at Coal Drop Yard in Kings Cross. Secondly to provide the employees of the store with a digital tool to aid their continuous self-management and to provide them with up-to-date knowledge around the ever-changing products and activations at CDY. Oh So was brought in to design the logo, finalise the UX and design a UI for the app, while extending the existing Samsung KX brand across all deliverables.

The Solution
The UX was confirmed based around the requirements of the employees which provided plenty of guidance for information architecture, user journeys and content planning. The devices were limited to tablet and mobile, making the UI job slightly simpler. A robust design system was created and brought to life across a selection of screen designs. The whole design system was exported via Zeplin for development.

The Result
The app is still in use three years later and serves as a vital interface between space management, events, products, employees and the customers, who comes to them seeking guidance on Samsung’s products.
Working with Oh So and Eddie was simple and without complication. We're really happy with the design work and the app is working really well.
